The AHT crew is especially excited to see the release of noface’s ANTI sessions, a year in the making and well worth the wait.
Heckadecimal and Jens have been performing as noface since as early as 2005. This cassette pulls on several recording sessions around the time of the first ANTI showcase at the Midnight Brigade in Minneapolis. The ANTI sessions have been compiled and constructed over the past year, heavily edited into a hybrid live/studio album with a continuous flow.
The sessions find two devotees obviously feeding off each other. Empowered by collaboration to competently explore the limits of their gear, a keen expertise over texture and melody is exercised. The music constantly pulls the listener in, as ideas are confidentlally explored, one being folded into the next. The result is a cosnsitently engaging piece of timeless techno, atlernately abrasive and beguiling, that would shine and satisfy in any decade.
